51/403. Meetings of subsidiary organs during the main part
of the fifty-first session
A
At its 2nd plenary meeting, on 17 September 1996, the General Assembly,
on the recommendation of the Committee on Conferences, 1/ decided that the
Executive Board of the United Nations Children's Fund should be authorized to
hold meetings during the course of the week beginning on 16 September 1996 and
that the Committee on Conferences, the Committee on the Exercise of the
Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People and the Special Committee on
Peacekeeping Operations should be authorized to hold meetings during the main
part of the fifty-first session, beginning on 19 September 1996.
B
At its 3rd plenary meeting, on 20 September 1996, the General Assembly,
on the recommendation of the Committee on Conferences 1/ and of the General
Committee, 2/ decided that the Committee on Relations with the Host Country
and the Working Group on the Financing of the United Nations Relief and Works
Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East should be authorized to hold
meetings during the main part of the fifty-first session.
