Organization of the work of the session

Note by the Secretariat

1. The draft organization of work for the thirty-first session of the Commission on Population and Development, which is contained in the annex to the present note, has been prepared in order to facilitate the Commission's consideration of the items on the agenda for the session in accordance with the time and conference services allocated to it. The annotated provisional agenda for the session has been circulated as document E/CN.9/1998/1.

2. Meeting facilities will be available for two formal meetings of the Commission each day. The meeting hours will normally be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
