- Description of the issue:
An independent international group of experts is given the task
to elaborate a study on the work carried out by international
organizations and multilateral institutions and under existing
legal instruments related to forest issues.
- Relationship with the Intergovernmental Panel on Forests Programme

Item V.1 of the Programme of Work of the Panel
- Expected results:
The study should identify any gaps, areas requiring
enhancement, as well as any areas of duplication, according to
item V.1 of the Programme of Work of the Panel.
- Expected Date of Completion of the Report and Language:
In due time to be submitted to the Panel for substantive
discussion at its third session; in English.
