Comprehensive statistical data on operational activities for development for 2003 - Report of the Secretary-General   Description: The present report is submitted in compliance with the requirements contained in paragraph 17 of General Assembly resolution 35/81 of 5 December 1980 and paragraph 22 of resolution 59/250 of 17 December 2004. In particular, paragraph 22 of resolution 59/250 requests the Secretary-General to improve the annual statistical compendium to the operational activities segment of the Economic and Social Council by adding a multi-year perspective, fully incorporating available information and statistics. It complements the report of the Secretary-General on the management process for the implementation of General Assembly resolution 59/250. It provides detailed data on resources channelled through the organizations of the United Nations system for 2003 and previous years and spent by these organizations, as well as a review of the multi-year trends in operational activities for development of the UN system from 1993 to 2003.
