2003 Preparatory Committee for the 2005 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT)

The Preparatory Committee for the 2005 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) held its second session from 28 April to 9 May 2003 at the Palais des Nations, Geneva. The Chairman of the second session was Ambassador László Molnár of Hungary.

A total of 106 States parties participated in the work of the second session of the Preparatory Committee.

The open meetings of the session were also attended by representatives of the Agency for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean (OPANAL), the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization, the European Commission, the League of Arab States and the Organization of the Islamic Conference, and by representatives of 37 non-governmental organizations (NGOs). One meeting of the session was devoted to 11 presentations by NGOs.
