Paper Cranes

Poetry for Peace Contest

The Poetry for Peace contest was held from 15 September until 14 October 2011. The winners were anounced at a ceremony at UN headquarters in New York.

Below is one of the contest entries.

On August 6th a big bomb fell on the city of Hiroshima.
On August 9th a big bomb fell on the city of Nagasaki.

We won't forget the tragedy.

It is said that there are 26,000 atomic bombs in the world.

But never forget.

There are 26,000 + '2' atomic bombs in the world.
