Below is one of the contest entries.
Close your eyes, Picture something that you will probably never go through in your entire life, People fighting against one another as if they were animals fighting for survival, instead the worst solution picked is to bomb their rivals, it was either eat or be eaten, an eye for an eye, but even when one eye is missing from each side, everyone's blind, what's left besides the choice to be unkind? This is when people should start changing their minds, the word is peace, what is hard to understand, God made us all the same but yet man still fights man. Weapons of mass destruction need to go away, besides it makes us look weak anyways, hiding behind weapons makes us look like scared humans. Now people are tragically affected with such harsh burdens. Innocent people dead, wounded and traumatized of how this one event has affected their whole way of life, yet at the time, The US thought it was right. Do people ever get tired of a fight? It's annoying how peace is a two way street but everyone ignores it because they don't want to have the chance of defeat. The next word is change, if people go and want to act the same way as before, everything will just repeat even more. May peace be your motivator, for this is a virtue God gave us. Open your eyes, now tell me what you see, is it everything it should be? Not yet, the last step is to promote peace.
