Below is one of the contest entries.
Disarm the Arms Boom 140,000 Dead Boom 74,000 Dead Thousands of others Dead What else could be said? No need for these bombs One didn’t help Why’d we need another? Our Earth is scarred For years to come Lives are gone And ruined forever It al ends up in countless deaths But nevertheless Countless regrets Was it necessary or not Sure you had a reason But was it a good one Sure Albert Einstein Found E=MC2 But for good and Advancement Not destruction and death But nobody cared What good did it do? Prevent evil Or create some more It isn’t him to blame It’s us for using it astray Can we be forgiven? I guess we can But can we forgive ourselves For creating a WMD Yes we can But time is short Disarm the rest ASAP Before it’s used again To start another end
