The Poetry for Peace contest was held from 15 September until 14 October 2011. The winners were anounced at a ceremony at UN headquarters in New York.

Bomb falls, Smoke surrounds the sky Some die, some live Buildings crumble, heartbroken and disturbed Living souls, so much pain We cannot fix, But our heartbroken feelings will mix Sad or mad Does not matter at all But to remember the people that fell
