Below is one of the contest entries.
The Bomb’s Drop I am in a dark space, with others of my kind. Suddenly, light comes as fast as a heartbeat throbs. I’m suddenly a falling bomb! "No!" I shriek! "I’m going to die!" Then, a soft, green blanket enfolds me. I’ve heard a lot about grass from the Things that made me, but never that it was so soft. The relief lasts only a few seconds! I suddenly "split" with a sudden lurch. I now am an earthquake! I am sending radiations that will kill many! This is upsetting me! I am a peaceful bomb, but I just broke the promise I made myself to be peaceful. I am weeping so hard, that I conjure a rainstorm.
