Paper Cranes

Poetry for Peace Contest

The Poetry for Peace contest was held from 15 September until 14 October 2011. The winners were anounced at a ceremony at UN headquarters in New York.

Below is one of the contest entries.

Peace

Peace.
Could you imagine it?
I could.
It's a place with no hostility.
It's a place with no fatality.

There are no atomic bombs.
That goes around killing Tom.
There's no reason for revenge
It's just going to get you avenge.
So let's spread peace
Now I’m going to wake up from my dream,
to my world of peace
