The Walking Dead To listen and see is an obvious difference from witnessing and experience; however, to endure such pain from the mind and body Is no different than walking dead Imagining the Hibakusha’s suffering Is just unbearable and unreal Yet the of children crying and relatives calling Is as real as the sight of families dying and watching your surroundings become painted with Red stainless blood once belonging to friends and neighbors And while the skies set dark the only light that Is left is the fire, devouring what remained. A nightmare overflowed. The innocent still run and hide Behind the fog, hovering, leaving them To utter loneliness and uselessness A life with no purpose is walking Dead Why must we go on and cause much destruction Obliterating the innocent When everything that was ever loved has burned and hurt? Why aren’t we mournful of our actions Causing pain and damage to the innocent? Why cant we live in a world where that one light, Outshines the dark making it bearable To accomplish overlooking the brutal hardships Of our world? A world where.... A smile towards each other wouldn’t feel so oppressive or forced; We can join together and use the experience of our past To create a glistening future, A world where peace is not impossible.
