The Poetry for Peace contest was held from 15 September until 14 October 2011. The winners were anounced at a ceremony at UN headquarters in New York.

I see people, backs burned Swollen and also scratched up I think these people had been bombed and survived hurt I feel disturbed, sad, mad, and wondering...how much pain these people gone through I also see shivered bodies I see bodies covered with blood and I feel Terrified 1945 was a terrifying day...September 21st will never be forgotten
