Below is one of the contest entries.
Forgive and Forget Blue sadness turns to cold hard hate and bitterness. Leaving no room for the warm lights of forgiveness. One day can last a lifetime Imprinted in the back of my head like chiseled stone I don't think anyone has seen anything so shockingly gruesome until that dreadful day. One flash, fast as lightening and it was all destroyed. like it was never there to begin with. And the shrieks of souls, old and young fill my ears. And the pain and fear send an ominous chill down my spine. And the salted tears burn the scars in my heart. That one day that lasted an eternity. One day that filled Japan with the stench of dried blood, burned flesh and brackish tears. But know that's done. And it's faded towards the light into dust. And the ice of our souls melted away into a puddle of love. And all the tear stains washed away by the waters of a river of hope. And all the flames of anger die down into ashes. And corruption ends because we finally realize in time we might see the heavenly lights of peace again.
