"The Bombing" August 6th 1945 was not a pretty day, The whole world heard the news and was shaken, It was such a bad decision to be made, So many innocent people’s lives were taken. This all happened to end a war, To stop all the fighting and killing, But these bombs took many more, I hope nobody found this thrilling. Two cities were gone in a flash, What we did was way beyond wrong, I feel like we treated them like trash, But I’m glad Japan still stayed strong. We can never make up for what we did. But sometimes I feel like the world acts like little kids.
