TIME FOR PEACE To the innocent souls lost And into parched throats In utmost reverence, we pour some liquor Vailing for the men of valour The men who heard Hell bells ring Saw harebells shrink But still muttering hope to forlorn psyches When did our fate end up in bedlam? Now the lanner can only hover The land is no more a home Not a rec anymore, a complete wreck Emptiness, vortex of confusion fills the lacuna A dawn of a vicissitude seems to be closing in on us But we are raising our voices loud Not to limn verbose lexis, preach vapid sermons Peace we seek In this vale of tears Cos' the verset has long been played The versicle has long been said The time to respond is now We should be shinning Illuminating sunshine into gloomy souls We should be smiling Disseminating love even to blooming foes Speak hope, even when we cannot cope Even when drowning in desperation And frustrating ostensible inspiration This is a brief moment to stare into time Pray to catch a glimpse of hope, vistas of serendipity We cease to lament, sing dirges over broken pots We stand on higher planes beating out the drums Calling all strained hearts to rest The weaklings can now dream in verve This is a time to let live This is a time for peace
