The Poetry for Peace contest was held from 15 September until 14 October 2011. The winners were anounced at a ceremony at UN headquarters in New York.

Lives taken away, people just don't care. You don't know what you have until you lose it. You can have something today and it can be gone completely by tomorrow. Appreciate what you have, when you have it because when it's gone, it may be gone for good.
