She has extensive academic as well as international experience in gender and disability. Ms. Zijdel has been involved with the United Nations on women's issues for more than 20 years (CSW and CEDAW expertise) and was involved in the drafting of the Convention since it's beginning. She also is knowledgeable on the topic of sport and disability.
