Rights and Dignity of Persons with Disabilities

Second session of the Conference of States Parties: 2 to 4 September 2009

The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was adopted by the General Assembly in its resolution 61/106 of 13 December 2006. Article 40 of the Convention stipulates that “The States Parties shall meet regularly in a Conference of States Parties in order to consider any matter with regard to the implementation of the present Convention.” 

The second  session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities will be held  on 2 September 2009 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and September 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
