The UN JPO Programme at the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA)/ Capacity Development Programme Management Office recruits and administers JPOs for the UN Secretariat (all UN departments and offices) and its entities.

The JPO programme is open to applicants from participating countries. Candidates from developing countries may apply for positions in the framework of the Dutch, Belgian and Italian JPO Programme.

  • from 29 donor countries and from 37 different nationalities
  • 34% male and 66% female
  • assigned to more than 48 duty stations around the world
  • working for more than 47 different UN Departments/Offices including Regional Commissions, Peacekeeping Missions and Resident Coordinator Offices
