Used in an established heading record to trace a see also reference from an established uniform title heading to a related established uniform title heading.

Reciprocal see also tracings may also be made between earlier and later forms of established uniform title.


In UNBIS this field is also used to refer from the collective title of an instrument, such as a convention, to its constituent parts or collateral agreements.


Subfield Codes

$a - Uniform title (NR).
In UNBIS the complete title is entered in subfield $a, apart from the
initial article which is always dropped from uniform titles.

$w - Control subfield (NR).
In UNBIS, $w contains a one-character alphabetic code that describes a relationship between the heading in a 1XX field and that in a 5XX field
