Programmes Summary

1. The Language and Communications Programme provides three types of courses:

Regular courses (3 or 4 hours per week): General language courses from level 1 to level 8 or 9 for beginner to advanced levels meeting 3 or 4 times a week.
Accelerated courses (5 hours per week): General language courses organized for beginner to advanced levels that usually meet 5 times a week
Special courses and workshops (usually 2 hours per week): Specialized workshops in specific skill areas, such as Listening, Reading, Pronunciation and Writing, as well as other courses, such as Film, Media, Discourse Strategies and Simulation of an International Meeting

Courses normally meet for one-hour periods before work, at lunch time, or after work.

2. The courses are offered in 13-week terms; 12 weeks of classes and 1 week for end of term examinations. In the 13th week of term, students are given an End of Term test which determines if a student is ready to move on to the next level in the programme.
