If the 19th century belonged to Britain, and the 20th century to the United States. Then the 21st century will surely belong to China. My advice: Make sure your kids learn Chinese.

Congratulations on your decision to study Chinese! The decision is a good one because Chinese is a language of the twenty-first century as Jim Rogers observed above. Believe it or not, there are more people in the world speaking Chinese than English or any other language (see the Washington Post chart). Chinese is one of the six official languages for the United Nations. Above all, the ability to speak and write Chinese goes a long way to the understanding of 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, the exchanging of ideas with its people, and the conducting of business in or with China.

To study Chinese, or any other foreign language for that matter, requires commitment and persistence. To that end, we encourage you to make an effort to spend at least 30 minutes daily practicing and reviewing what you have learned in class. On our part, we'll do our best to assist your study of Chinese in and outside the class. This site is a resource center where you can find information about our course offerings, and resources of books, study aids, software programs. We'll also bring you China-related or Chinese-related community events in and around New York City. Feel free to contribute by sharing your experience studying Chinese and ask questions about language points you have difficulty with. Our teachers will do their best to answer them. Please send your questions and suggestions to contact.
