Secretary-General: Human Rights Council in Geneva

Speaking in a Press Conference on the Human Rights Council in Geneva, June 22 2006, the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan recorded the UN's increasing capacities to support democratization and human rights: "… we have also set up a Fund for Democracy to assist countries in transition, to strengthen their regulatory and democratic institutions."
