Astral Drive Jr. High Recycling Program At Astral Drive Jr. High we have a very active recycling committee. We meet on the fifth day of every cycle and we also do the recycling twice a week. Each of our lunch rooms consists of at least one, if not two, recycling containers for juice boxes and pop cans. Each classroom has a paper recycling box. We do at least two school ground clean ups, one in the fall and one in the first week of May. We have also done a bottle drive so that our school could buy ten meters of the Trans-Canada Trail. We are also planning a beach sweep in the first week of June. We hope to plant some trees on our school property and add some benches. We also participate in the Waste Reduction Week every year.
