Young reporters for the environment

Considering that the subject environment is not curricular in our educational system, we teachers were utterly satisfied by the response in curiosity and involvement on the part of our students participating after hours in the "Young reporter for the environment" project. We realised how open the young are in receiving information by investigating the most urgent environmental problems. They have become moreover aware of the responsibility of their generation to halt degradation. They gathered information and data related to the environmental indicators of their territory and became very conscious and prompt to act in favour of environmental protection. They met experts, interviewed scientists, participated in field actions and visited specific ecosystems(wetlands). To live coherently, is the target. To live coherently means gathering more information and specification about the correct behaviour towards environment and the awareness of the urgent need for protection. This our students have acquired, enthusiastically.
