When shall the world experience total peace? This question goes to all peace-loving inhabitants of the planet Earth. Our souls, thoughts, aspirations and future have been left off nude because of the wanton destruction of those who prefer the Devil's alternative.

We pray for those agents maintaining peace and stability, and above all, those who have bitten the dust in this direction. We join them in saying the message, "May Peace Prevail on Earth."

Schools in Sierra Leone were re-opened by the restored democratic government on Sept. 14, just in time to celebrate Peace Day in a country where peace has been most elusive. The whole school assembled for the noontime Minute of Silence and then went on a Peace Walk (in the pouring rain) through the city center to the United Nations House, where they were let into the library to learn about the UN's work to prevent war. Copies of the UN Charter were distributed.

Our English-speaking school is situated in Siberia, Russia. There are more than a hundred different nationalities living in the area. All of them coexist peacefully.
There is an important event in the school life which teaches us a lot about the world we live in. Every other year there is a School Festival. In January every class chooses a country which it wishes to represent. Then we begin thinking, together with our teachers, of how to do it. Any class can prepare a concert, a variety show or a self-composed play.
That week in April, we felt a little strange, walking around at school dressed up in our costumes. Every class was different, there were Indians, Brazilians, Persians, French and English people all around us. For a week, we felt that we were somebody else, and we honestly tried to understand some very strange cultures, customs and traditions. We believe this is a good way of teaching and learning tolerance to other nations at school.
