Hello, I'm Nane Annan. It is wonderful to be here with you on
the Cyberschoolbus. This time I want to talk to you about World
Food Day, which is every year on October 16.
Teachers can introduce their students to the problems
of hunger and malnutrition using lesson plans developed
by FAO (in collaboration with other organizations) for
the World Food Day Project called Feeding
Minds, Fighting Hunger. Lesson plans are available
for primary, intermediate, and secondary students, in
Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Italian, and Spanish.
To learn more about how the UN works
to help people feed themselves or to bring food relief
to those in need, read about Norma
, the
Cruz family, Rita, and Janet.
