The Platform of Action -- the final document of the Fourth World Conference on Women -- puts down 12 main concerns for women. Most of the information is based on two sources: "Women at a glance", published by the United Nations Department of Public Information and "The World's Women 1995: Trends and Statistics", UN Publications. The latter is available from the United Nations bookshop. For some explanations and data UNICEF's Progress of Nations 1996 was used. |
