In this large collage, the artist combines pictures from real life, drawings of an imagined future inside a shape much like a human heart (with ventricles, blue veins and arteries) with text and paper film reels to show the history of his own life. Made for CMCE's triptych project, which asked the artists to create three-part works with personal images of the past, present and future, the piece is a serious and beautiful effort to capture the whole of what Ismet has known and hopes for.
