SOMETHING YOU REMEMBER FROM CHILDHOOD, BEFORE THE WAR:
My memories don't really come up to mind. It looks to me like a bright maze, I suppose there was no real childhood. I just remember lots of family members that don't exist anymore, those faces disappeared suddenly and there is no clear picture of those years now. Just numbers and birthdays, nothing else...
And of course there is my first war-birthday, that I was forced to celebrate in a cold, dark cellar with one candle and lots of neighbors. (My family couldn't be there because they lived on the other side of town.) I got the best presents in my life- 2 potatoes and an egg, nothing was more precous than that. What can a 7 year old kid expect during the war. Nothing, but two potatoes, but lucky if you can get an egg also!
SOMETHING YOU REMEMBER FROM CHILDHOOD, DURING THE WAR:
After many years, the most impressing thing is that the people in Sarajevo were closer to each other then ever before. A war mostly changes lives negatively, but this was the only time that the community was united and friendships were the most precious thing. Today the situation is different, unfortunately people forgot what a nice in a hopeless situation can do.
THE THING YOU MOST WANT TO DO, SEE, OR LEARN:
The meaning of my future life is traveling and just changing the attitudes of people no matter where they might be. I want to change the opinions of people who are not aware of what war can cause. Maybe this would help to prevent another crisis in today's society, because a war is a thing we all need least.
A MESSAGE FOR PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF BOSNIA:
Not everybody knows to enjoy in those precious moments that they have, so the message would be: Seize every single moment, you never know what can happen so you loose everything that is material, but memories stay if you want it or not.
