South Asia Water Initiative
General Information
The objective of the South Asia Water Initiative (SAWI) is to promote the goals of poverty reduction, economic growth, mitigation and adaptation to climate change and water security through significant and measurable improvements in water resources management and development at the regional, international basin and national levels in South Asia.
In particular, SAWI aims to address some of the seemingly intractable challenges which persist due to their complexity or sensitivity, but which otherwise resolved would promote these goals.
