CNN World Report marks its 20th anniversary
The programme, launched on October 25, 1987, now receives reports from more than 350 broadcasters in over 145 countries and territories. UNTV, as one of the founder contributors who pledged to participate every week, has contributed 1,230 reports over the last twenty years. At the request of CNNWR, UNTV produced a piece highlighting UNTV's contributions over the years.
UNTV story wins an award in the 2007 Moondance Film Festival
"Stolen Childhoods: Child Brides in Ethiopia" ( 8'39") by Andi Gitow was selected the Best Foreign Short Doc Film in the 2007 Moondance Film Festival in California. It is the second award given to this story.
