UN Radio and UN TV offer broadcasters products and services from Headquarters and from the field - live feeds, factual accurate news, radio and television programmes about global issues, images, PSAs and more – to help raise public awareness and build local support for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The United Nations instituted an award to encourage journalists to give publicity to MDGs and galvanize public interest. This month seven journalists received the award for the year 2006 for promoting MDGs in Ghana.
