In 1998, the world was shocked when violence between Muslims and Christians erupted in Indonesia's Central Sulawesi region. The country is home to the world's largest Muslim community -- but some 15 percent of Indonesians follow other religions. Recently the fighting has ended, but now people there are finding that sustaining peace may be harder than expected.

What happens when an entire lake you depend on almost disappears? Some 20 million people around Lake Chad in Central Africa are facing this bleak future and are already feeling the strain.

Imagine being rejected by society since birth and being denied access to certain human rights because of your status in the community. This is the prospect facing millions of so-called "untouchables" in India. Althpugh the country's government has been fighting prejudice against them, it continues today.
