About
UN Television
Since its inception in 1949, United Nations Television (UNTV) has expanded at an accelerated rate to encompass the world. In a multi-language operation, UNTV reaches the most remote areas of the world to tell its story. In 1962, UNTV participated in the world's first satellite television transmission. Today, broadcasters from all over the world initiate their own satellite transmissions, using United Nations facilities and live feeds to cover debates in the General Assembly, the Security Council, and news-breaking special events of world importance. |
