UN ACTS ON ZIMBABWE GOVERNMENT DEMOLITIONS,
YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT - WHAT'S BEING DONE,
AND THE W.H.O. ON POSSIBLE VACCINES FOR EBOLA AND MARBURG FEVER

The Zimbabwean government demolishes the houses and properties of thousands of city dwellers. It says they were illegally-constructed. There is some international condemnation, and now UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan dispatches one of his senior UN officials, Anna Tibaijuka, to Zimbabwe to assess the situation.

Youth unemployment: more serious in Africa than in any other region of the world. We have a report on what is being done to get more young Africans into work.

The World Health Organisation reacts to reports that scientists have discovered vaccines for the deadly EBOLA and Marburg diseases:"This is a very important first time. To date since we don't have either drugs or vaccines to help people who are in this haemorrhagic fever situation." WHO's DICK THOMPSON
