THE WORLD DISCRIMINATES AGAINST AFRICA,
THE FORGOTTEN CRISIS IN NORTHERN UGANDA,
OBASANJO AND BIYA MEET OVER BAKASSI

The UN's top humanitarian official, Jan Egeland says the whole world - especially the rich nations - are discriminating against Africa, with appeals for humanitarian assistance ignored and under-funded:
"There's an inbuilt discrimination in the sense that if we all agree that a human life is the same value wherever he or she is born, it should be the same attention to northern Uganda as to northern Iraq."

And a report by the ILO on the suffering of thousands of Ugandan children forced by LRA rebels to kill and to become sex slaves.

Plus, UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, gets Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Paul Biya to agree to speed up progress on the oil-rich Bakassi peninsula:
"We also agreed that a new programme of withdrawal of the Nigerian troops would be worked out and agreed upon by the two Presidents and myself."
