World Water Day

UNIC New Delhi collaborated with Force, a non-governmental organization working on water issues, in organizing a water festival called Jal Tarang at Dilli Haat, a popular arts and crafts bazaar in New Delhi. The five-day campaign, from 17 to 21 March 2008, aimed to motivate people to save and share water. The water festival was inaugurated by Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister of Delhi. Through the symbolic gesture of pouring water into a well, the Director of UNIC New Delhi joined other partners in water conservation and awareness.
