Among the valued services provided by UNICs are their reference libraries where the public has access to a comprehensive collection of United Nations publications, reports and official records.

UNICs also maintain United Nations film and video collections that are available on loan to local broadcasters, non-governmental organizations and educational institutions. Equipped with modern communications technology, such as CD-ROMs, the Internet and e-mail, UNICs can also obtain documentation electronically from Headquarters. Visitors often rely on the personalized services and guidance provided by UNIC staff.


Visitors to the reference library of UNIC Mexico City view its interactive multimedia presentation on the work of the United Nations. One of the first UNICs to launch and Internet site, UNIC Mexico City has helped thousands of students find information about the United Nations in Spanish.
