UNICs promote UN Issues

Cyberschoolbus

On 30 January 2008 within the framework of the campaign of the UN web site Cyberschoolbus "Ask the Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon," UNIC Tunis invited a group of students to the headquarters of the national organization of the Tunisian students. Centre’s official, Amor Nekhili explained to them how to proceed and invited them to submit their questions about the activities of the United Nations and the role of the Secretary-General. The students addressed various subjects such as women's rights, the situation in the Middle East and the function and the mandate of the Secretary General of the United Nations. The answers of the Secretary-General to the selected questions will be then posted on the Web site of Cyberschoolbus and that of the Centre. UNIC Tunis had already organized other activities utilizing new information technologies in conjunction with Cyberschoolbus, in particular during the World Summit on the Information Society in 2005.
