On 25th June 2005 more than 300 volunteers, staff members and institutional representatives attended the conference “Double diagnosis: the possible integration”, organised in Torre del Greco (Naples) by the NGO Association “La Tenda”. RUNIC Brussels sponsored the conference. Its logo featured on the information material produced on the occasion, including a banner on the conference stage.

Prominent doctors and political experts spoke about topics concerning drugs: addiction, prevention and social rehabilitation policies.

Both national and local media, among which the Italian state-owned broadcasting channel RAI, covered the event, during which a letter by the UN Secretary General on drugs was read, and emphasis was given to his call on young people to make a healthy life choice.

The meeting’s outcome was positive, the debate was very constructive and provided the opportunity of strengthening the collaboration between the different social actors, with a view to building up new ideas for future actions.
