ABOUT UNICs

In addition to the United Nations web page maintained at New York Headquarters, UNICs have created their own web sites in local languages. Please check them at UNIC on the Web. These sites post calendar of local and global United Nations events, along with information on major upcoming United Nations activities.

In some parts of the world, UNIC staff have used the computers for a dual purpose -- to expand public outreach as well as to introduce modern communications technology to people who otherwise have no access to it.
