UNIC Pretoria organized a commemoration of the World AIDS Day at the UNIC Library on 1 December 2005.

UNIC Yaounde organized a commemoration of World AIDS Day. The event included a panel discussion, in which the UN Resident Coordinator, Mrs. De Mowbray, participated together with representatives from the WHO and UNAIDS. There was also a speech delivered by H.E. Catherine Bakang Mbock, the Minister of Women's Affairs.
