29 June 2016 – Following a two-day visit to Israel and Palestine, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today emphasized that what is lacking in terms of a lasting settlement for peace to the conflict is the political will to make that happen.
28 June 2016 – Following a meeting this morning in Jerusalem with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urged the leader to take the “courageous steps” necessary for a negotiated two-State solution in order to bring lasting peace, security and dignity for the people of both Israel and Palestine.
27 June 2016 – Following a meeting with Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin in Jerusalem, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today said that nearly 50 years of occupation of Palestinian land has not brought security for Israelis, stressing that only a negotiated two-State solution could bring the legitimate aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians to fruition.
25 June 2016 – In Paris today, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on the countries of Europe as well as the international community at large to work towards a compassionate and humane solution to the problem of refugees and migrants, emphasizing that he counts on the European Union and Britain to continue as strong partners of the UN on development and humanitarian issues.
