Through its peacekeeping missions in the DR Congo and South Sudan, the UN works to protect civilians, promote disarmament and assist communities in addressing the impact of LRA attacks on people's lives and livelihoods.

UNOCA is a political mission working, at the request of the Security Council, with the African Union, countries affected by the LRA, UN partners and others to maximize the impact of action to address problems caused by the LRA.
UN Integrated Peacebuilding Office in the Central African Republic (BINUCA)
UN political efforts to help the Central African Republic overcome a history of political instability and recurring armed conflict are led on the ground by BINUCA, a field office of the UN Department of Political Affairs.
Office of the Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict
In her capacity as UN envoy for children and armed conflict, Radhika Coomaraswamy serves as a moral voice and independent advocate to build awareness and give prominence to the rights and protection of boys and girls affected by armed conflict.
