Informer et éduquer le public africain sur la participation des populations au processus de développement à la base; publier la revue trimestrielle "famille et développement"; organiser des séminaires éducatifs et de formation; mèner des actions de développement sur le terrain en milieu rural comme en milieu urbain.

Projet illustratif:

L'ASAFED a publié la revue "Famille et développement", du No-0 au69, sur les thèmes sociaux, économiques et politiques; a organisé plusieurs séminaires inter-africains comme celui des jour- nalistes en avril 1990 sur les pratiques traditionnelles néfastes à la santé des femmes et des enfants (ex: mutilations génitales féminines, tabous alimentaires, etc.); a réalisé des pépinières pour le reboisement à Dzogbépimé au Togo.

Organization of seminars and training programmes for 74 persons in two batches; live stock project currently being started; improved local bee-keeping project for 155 rural residents in 22 groups; promotion of local agricultural tools; manufacture of local tiles; gully farming on more than 25 hectares; introduction of 24 groups compromising a total of 237 persons in productive savings and loans; organizing monitoring and supporting 31 groups with about 300 members.
