United Nations International Study on
Firearm Regulation

Incidents involving firearm abuse continue to be an issue of international concern. Inspite of this widespread concern, only limited data were available prior to 1996, on levels of firearm related crime and causes of death.

This publication is a unique and systematic study of sixty-nine countries. It offers a wealth of information on firearm regulation; ownership; administration; possession and use; manufacturing and trade; smuggling and other illegal dealings; demographic and accident statistics; crime statistics; and policy and public education initiatives.
