Environment, Biodiversity and Agricultural
Change in West Africa: Perspectives from Ghana
West Africa is a diverse region which has a dominantly rural economy centred
on agriculture that traditionally was closely adapted to the dynamic biophysical
environment. This publication discusses how indigenous resource management
and land use systems adapt to environmental change, with a view to providing
researched options for the better management of land resources including
species diversity in tropical climates. It also provides a case study of
Ghana.
