Risk reduction education

Risk reduction programs help people who live near landmines live more safely. Risk reduction education is part of a holistic approach, dubbed “mine awareness,” that moves beyond detecting and destroying landmines, and offers empowering strategies to help people in affected areas learn how to identify and avoid landmines, and to communicate safety messages to others in their own unique ways.
